Absolutely loved it! <3

SWARM is a fantastic little Vampire Survivor-style game with a really unique paper and ink art direction. The setting immediately stands out, and the whole game feels incredibly juicy and polished.

The effects, sounds, and overall feedback are just great. Every hit feels satisfying, every upgrade feels impactful, and the game has that dangerous "just one more run" feeling that keeps pulling you back in. I had a lot of fun playing it!

I do have one small piece of feedback: the combination of the Orbit ability + Dash Healing feels a little too powerful right now. Around level 30, I reached a point where I could basically stand still and farm all the way to level 110 without really worrying about dying. My little ink warrior went from "fighting for survival" to "casually watching the apocalypse happen." 😄

Maybe enemy damage scaling with player level, or some kind of difficulty scaling over time, could help keep the pressure going and make those later stages more intense.

Another small thing: sometimes the event box text appeared over my character/health area, making it harder to see my current HP for a moment. Moving that UI element slightly could improve readability.

But honestly, these are small things compared to how enjoyable the game already is.

This is a fantastic game, and I can't wait to jump into the next run! Keep up the great work — I'm excited to see where SWARM goes. 🖋️🔥

Good work!

Hi Christoph, thx a ton 🖤. SWARM is my first game, and you’re my first commenter. Reading this made my whole week. That you took the time to write something this thoughtful means more than I can put neatly into words.

And thx for the gameplay feedback as well. I'm so happy that you leveled up and enjoyed it. And I'll fix issues you mentioned and bring a better next version.

Cheers m8 🥂

Hey, that's awesome to hear! ^^

It was honestly my pleasure. I'm a game developer myself, so I know how much a thoughtful comment or a bit of constructive feedback can mean especially when you're working on a project on your own.

I genuinely enjoy supporting solo devs whenever I can, whether that's through feedback, encouragement, or simply letting them know that people appreciate the work they're putting in.

You already have something really special here, and I'm excited to see how SWARM evolves. I'll definitely be back to check out future updates!

Keep doing what you're doing, and don't lose that passion. Wishing you all the best on your gamedev journey! 🍻
