So after playing the demo (and getting past the problem I had mentioned in a previous post - it was a skill issue) I bought the full game on Linux and have been enjoying it immensely. However, I have found a few troublesome bugs I want to report.

First off, research appears buggy. Sometimes I get a situation where I happen to notice that I'm generating far less research than I know I should be. When I hover over the number, one island is showing as 0 when I know they should be producing something. The only way to fix it is to click on the port and teleport to the island reporting 0 and then it magically fixes itself.

Pausing the game is also bugged. This one I can reproduce. Pause the game, then use the port to go to another island, then try to unpause, It will look like nothing happened in that the screen is still grayed out and the counters are not moving. After a few moments, if I click on it again, the time and production numbers all jump ahead, showing that the game had been unpaused after the first click but the screen had not updated.

The way farmland is associated with farms seems either bugged or not adequately explained. Sometimes when I place a new farm near an existing one and try to put down new farmland for it, it gets associated with the existing farm instead, even though the square is closer to the new farm. I guess the end result is the same, but there's no logic to it.

Again, it's a great game, and I'm glad I bought it, it just needs a few tweaks to be a truly outstanding one.
