A Genuine question Opinion from a fictional character which disrespects your value or things or people u love will you bear it? disrespect is disrespect and yeah while I agree we can decide who she's talking about but some arrows just point towards the obvious. Indirectly pointing fingers towards someone is an insult   js that some prefer to be direct and some indirect  we can't always say "perception is everything" not everyone speaks metaphorically . lastly in your  game and with what you've said perception is applicable though it's a risky path.
