I'm making some Glowy Pinball and releasing early + often

Hi folks, just starting up this devlog thread for my first game on itch.io

It's a pinball game, with one of the main aspects being a neo-retro/synthwave/neon kind of look (think Geometry Wars and similar). There will be more to the game itself too, but those details will come in time.

My plan is to release early and often, so please follow along if it's your kinda jam. You can already "play" the first build here: https://nomad2097.itch.io/pinball

NOTE: This is a first “developer build” (think version 0.1). There isn’t a game there yet, but you can check out the basic flipper physics and a first pass at the aesthetics.

Video demo (Release 0.1.0):

Progress

This thread will collect my progress notes and related materials. I'm hoping to provide some detailed insight into the dev process with each release (at least).

Release 0.1.0 (2026-05-28)

Release 0.2.0 (2026-07-17)

Hey folks, I’ve had my head down working on some game systems, but I’m taking a quick break to put out a new release (0.2.0). It’s a small update, but a fun one:

Play the new release at itch.io

You can now cycle between several new ball looks:

Also, the plunger visual has been improved:
