Seriously, I have to ask the author: why did the MC choose to sleep on a desk when a bunk bed was available? If you ask me, sleeping on the top bunk isn't exactly a super intimate gesture. Why not just do that?
I was asking the same question all the time(with all my respect to the author because it is a great novel).
