I like your interpretation of the theme. Putting in extra effort for an intro and dialog is always a big plus, I enjoyed that a lot as well. The story of an overlord with burnout (or a bore-out in this case) made me chuckle. The usage of mixed media, handdrawn pen illustrations and digital, is also great.

The gameplay itself was frustrating at fisrt because I kept trying to chop the trees right next to the overlord, and it became a bit easy when I realised there were trees and rocks far away from the overlord. I can see the vision though and it's pretty original as a concept.

Did you make the tileset and song as well? It's not clear since there aren't any credits. If so that is quite a lot of assets made by one person!

Also one more tip. When there are this many controls its a good idea to just keep them on the screen at all times. Because it was a lot to remember.

Cheers to this being your first game jam. Keep it up!

Thank you so much for such a detailed comment! No,And thank you for letting me know,I got these amazing assets from itch itself.

I will add credits,I genuinely missed on that.Thank you,and I will further add on tools, inventory so that they are easily accessible with a list of commands.
