  • Was the first run understandable? Mostly. I found the text for each monster cumbersome. I love how I can click anywhere for info but first run it’s a text-wall. Run the risk of overloading brains.
  • Did you understand why you won or lost? Sure, HP 0 = death. I did not understand what I could have done different in terms of better monsters. Maybe a one word scale could help like “Decimated” means I had a poor build:bad luck combo through to “Unstoppable” meaning I did really well?
  • Which units, relics, or items felt exciting? I want to min-max a +1Att / +Blk build the feeds off allies for insane battle start buffs. Loved the common relic to buff a low attack as that summer with Ronin amazingly after 4 stacks (by design, no doubt).
  • Which combos felt broken in a fun way? Demon. I tried a BRN run with imps and it was yuck. Until a single one star demon appear. Then I could actually procc demon horn (I think?) after 30 Brns.
  • Which things felt confusing, weak, or pointless? Blk feels pointless. Especially at low levels. I keep trying to balance that (4 runs in) and I just can’t keep low hp monsters alive enough to do decent.
  • Did combat feel readable? Not really. It meshes with all the stats and the colours man it gets so and just ignore it.
  • Did asynchronous PvP against ghost teams feel exciting? Yeah it’s a jam. I like seeing how I did against other humans without waiting.
  • Did anything crash, softlock, or behave strangely? Nope, smooth for me.
  • Did you want to start another run? Almost obsessively. I’m pretty hooked.

Thanks so much for playing and giving me some feedback! I am currently thinking about how I can rework Block to make it more impactful and maybe more combo-ish too. Thanks again for helping me test the game! If you want to feel free to join the Merge N' Malice Discord!
