thank you for your kind words. it's hard to describe how much your thoughts in your rating mean to us. i tend to assume most people will look at our work and go "heh, they said 'boner', i get it" (which tbf we are very funny) and not really care to see what we are talking about. it is heartwarming in a strange way to hear that you got it, to the extent that your ideas are some of the things we've been talking about lately
i forget what spurred it on, but we were just talking the other day about how it felt like the absurd cruelty of the world was beyond parody, like there was nothing we could put in our games and comics and writings that would serve as an overexaggerated take on rape culture rather than a sincerely held belief with the world the way it is. i am sad to hear it all resonated with you, but hopeful too. the future seems bright despite these dark times, because i know we are not alone
personally, i think sexuality is another part of life, another facet of ourselves that is interwoven into the human experience, as much as people would like to excise it, cut it off and hide it away in its own corner. yeah, trans girl, wearing your skirt is gonna feel good. it's gonna be uplifting and euphoric and it's gonna turn you on, because you're a multifaceted being and your sexuality is one of those facets
when i pitched alex for the game (to go along with the other characters that big sis wrote), it was mostly just because i wanted an outlet to write force-femme smut, but writing him, so many of these feelings came flooding back, culminating in the scene where he realizes with horror that he feels good being a girl outside of horny contexts lol. i think those kinds of horny thoughts can often be trying to tell us something, lead us to something we still need to grapple with. they were doing that 20 years ago when i was alex, and they were just now when i wrote him too
sexuality has been kind of a special interest of mine for my whole life, and i think that's why, because the way it is treated as shameful and something to hide away was something that i didn't feel free until i moved past. i feel the same way with humor. it's not as directly frowned upon, but i do feel like it's considered lower, somehow, like it has no place in a serious work, like it's something crass, something that detracts from the things around it, and that's just not true. people who are hurting are looking for a reason to laugh. we're horny and silly and when the world is rotten, what can we do but keep seeking those joyful experiences? to connect with others and laugh and love, to look our pain in the eyes and say "don't make me laugh" and hope it doesn't notice when we walk away rock hard?
