For those who are into puzzles, especially chess/checkers this game would be an interesting take on standard mechanics. The AI is really a good challenge. The rules are to be accustomed to but when you learn them it's fun to play.

Potential to improve:

- Get rid of so many entities. Glyphs and animals. If an animal always moves by glyph pattern - why do we need the glyphs? They make the board less readable. Why not have only animal icons. Like instead of showing ☩ glyph show the contour of the snail icon so when a piece moves here it becomes a snail. players will learn eventually what piece does what as in chess or you may show quick hint on the side of the screen or somewhere else

- Timer. Would be good to have it, but not always, as it makes the game's vibe less relaxing. The visuals go the opposite way so it's kinda conflicting. Let players who want to relax and think calmly do that. Enable the timer for those who need more challenge

- Maybe start with smaller board and less different pieces and add complexity with every other level. This will keep players engaged for longer and more players will stay in the game after few easy wins in the beginning

- The visuals are not final but the frog looks more like an owl to us :)

Great job anyway, keep going!

Thanks a lot for the feedback—it means a lot to me!

The idea of using animal-themed glyphs is excellent; that’s actually the next thing I want to tweak regarding that chaotic table.

I included the timer because I’d like the final product to be suitable for PvP—where managing thinking time is a key skill—though I agree it could be removed for AI gameplay.

Thanks so much for the suggestions; I’ll try to implement them and upload a revised version here on Itch.

P.S. Actually, all the animal designs are a bit "random"... I know the frog doesn't really look like a frog :| , and the snake doesn't do a great job of representing long-range movement :)
