Yeah. I was checking on some games I'd played and saw this.
Now in the end it's up to the dev to decide to entirely start from scratch but why not leave up the old version at least for those who've paid for it?
I'm also wondering if the dev is okay considering taking such a drastic move with.. who knows how much time and effort they spent on this.
I just think things could of been handled in a better way. People have spent years supporting the game and basically all that work is gone. While i agree its up to the dev i think its a bit messed up to be this far into the development process and scrap it. I believe he could of made the first game into a season 1 and made the 2nd season a whole separate download where he could do exactly what he is doing now but continuing the story.
