I made an itch account to follow your new game! I play detective/mystery/investigation games almost exclusively and I’m a nobody but I write semi-detailed reviews because I play them critically. All that to say, Mr. Investigator was being compared against 100+ other games when I played it.
I want to tell you again and directly - you’re brilliant. Mr. Investigator is my top contender for GOTY even with all the jank and the evil math puzzle. There are so many brilliant setups for clues and the TRACTOR moment is burned into my mind as peak clue writing. You truly delivered on the promise of no hand holding, which probably wasn’t great for sales but it was great for me. I wrote a whole guide for Mr. Investigator specifically so people put off by the no hand holding would keep playing. I have gifted it to one of my smartest friends to try to stump him too.
Don’t get discouraged by development hell. You have at least two dedicated fans and many more lurker fans. 💫
