When I open the game, should the window say "Chronicle 1 DEMO" at the top? I purchased the game.

If you downloaded the demo first, then it may have the demo's name in the cache.

Have you ever downloaded the demo? If not, then I can check some files on my end as well to see if I mis-named something.

Hello! Yes, I did download the demo first. I started the full game play, and it was similar to the demo and then saw the demo's name so was confused. Sounds like it's what you're saying about the cache. Is there some moment in the game I can look for to confirm it's the full game? If not, I'll just keep playing and if it goes past the demo, then I know. Thanks!

Hello, it seems the game does not run with the itch.io app or on Steamdeck. Have you encountered this before?

I have not. Let me see if I can recreate it. I don't have a steam deck but I do have the itch app on Macbook.

What is your OS? PC? Or are you also Mac?

Sorry for the delayed response. I started testing my other itch io games on deck, and they weren't working either. Did some research and apparently the itch io app isn't fully Linux compatible - which is why only the demo was loading and some of my other itch games weren't working either even though they worked on my computer. I figured out how to work around the incompatibility though by working off Reddit.

A bit annoyed with the itch app, but so far no more problems playing Belle Automata. Thanks so much for your help and looking forward to playing your other games:)
