Not sure what they're classified as, but I'll just call them "events" where you can select 1 of 3 options. I believe there was an event with a professor allowing you to 'level up a monster (max lvl 4)'. There is also a mythical item (Ultra Candy) but that's more difficult to obtain.
Edit: I just realize this version doesn't have mythical items. That's currently on the Steam demo version.
