i wonder are you ever gonna release older versions of the game for us to be able to play? because i've seen some playthroughs of the older versions and they seem to have some interesting features and different scenes that i think would be worth checking out for ourselves

Sorry for taking a little longer than I said. I found an older version and have uploaded it as "Ye Old Chronicles.zip" on the page. Don't forget to install the RPG Maker XP RTP if you have not done so already. Also, it's an unencrypted file so if you have RPG Maker XP, you are free to explore the game in the program if you have a desire to do so. I did not test it, so I apologize in advance if the game breaks! If there are any missing portraits or something, you should be able to get around it by copying and renaming pictures. Enjoy it!
