I have played with every VTT out there. Foundry, Mythic, PUMC, Sojourn, this one is the one that is most like writing. The prompts and maps do not get in your way at all.
One question, is there a way to have a blank map and fill it on your own?

Right now, you can’t start with a completely blank map, but it’s something I’ve been thinking about. Do you mean a truly empty map that you fill in yourself hex by hex, with nothing generated randomly? Or more the ability to edit the generated map manually?
You can already customize the random generation a bit by importing your own random tables, though I’m guessing that’s not really what you mean.
I use Discord, but I’m not on the Mythic Discord.
The AI tool is deliberately pretty basic and entirely optional. I’m personally a bit cautious about using generative AI as part of play, so I wanted it to stay out of the way rather than become a core feature.
There’s a little bit of setup involved: you’ll need an API key from OpenRouter, a website that gives access to different AI models, and enter it in the settings. After that, you can just type something into the text box and click “Ask.” It takes a moment, then you’ll get a response.
