I've tried it. I'm telling you, the black screen happens after a simple loss. An inscription appears on top that I was moved to the cultists' location, but the screen is black and nothing happens.

I had the same issue and when I fixed by getting into an encounter and coming out Kira wasn't at the pole but when I started a new save and tried the camp again everything was okay it might be because of previous saves where people might have already escaped the camp once maybe at least that's my thought process
