I may be missing something, but the game doesn’t seem to do much.
I opened the .tap file with Fuse and can get to the point where it tells me to press “M” to use the flashlight. After I press “M”, it tells me I have no batteries and a watch displaying the minutes appears.
From that point, pressing any button just tells me that I still have no batteries.
