If you enjoyed this, you will love the game that inspired it, "A Dark Room" - it was a touchstone for ai: the minimal interface, the mysterious ascii characters, and the theme of kindness. The ascii liquid was an experiment to see if it could be simulated without requiring a js library. I took that mechanic, and threw a few ideas at ai. I am very happy with how it turned out.
