Thank you for your detailed feedback! We’re always open to criticism, but in this case, there’s been a serious misunderstanding about what exactly is happening with the project and on our Patreon right now. We’d like to set the record straight.

1. Our Patreon (the main misunderstanding)
You mentioned that we’re “discussing mission systems in simulators on Patreon” while simultaneously “getting sidetracked by a new game.” The fact is, all devlogs about the mission system, quests, and complex mechanics pertain exclusively to our new full-fledged RPG game, not to this simulator!
Active development of the current simulator has been put on hold. We realized that it’s impossible to adequately incorporate large-scale ideas and deep mechanics into the framework of a simple simulator without compromising gameplay. Therefore, we aren’t “cramming” this game with unnecessary features; instead, we’ve focused all our efforts on creating a separate RPG set in the WaifuFactory universe, where the story, missions, and deep interaction are the foundation from the very beginning.

2. A Clone of “Lovely Craft Piston Trap”
We never intended to make an exact copy or clone of Lovely Craft Piston Trap. We’re certainly familiar with that genre, but from the very beginning, we aimed to reimagine the concept, offer our own vision, and introduce completely different mechanics. That’s precisely why our project is heading in a different direction and differs from what people typically expect from direct clones.

We’re sorry that the current simulator didn’t meet your expectations, but we hope this explanation clarifies the situation regarding our Patreon and our development direction.

Thank you for the quick detailed answer, and sorry for the misunderstanding! I'm going to leave this up in case other people need the same clarification, but feel free to delete it if you think it will cause more confusion than it solves.

If it's helpful, I try to can go find the early post that mentions Lovely Craft as an initial inspiration for WaifuFactory. I'm pretty sure I actually saw that written somewhere, but can't remember if it was here or Patreon.

Also if development on this project is paused and the RPG is now the focus, that should probably be clearer on both Patreon and Itch. Right now it's still quite easy for people to subscribe to the Patreon thinking we're supporting the simulator (I almost did)

It's okay, let the comment stay. You can search for information about the mention of "Lovely Craft" on f95zone, there is a topic "WaifuFactory". And we will really change the patreon as soon as the first build of our new game appears.

Also, pop-ups for skills and other things work a little differently - you just need to press and hold any skill or craft.

The simulator will most likely be developed after the RPG game. Or maybe it just integrates into the RPG game itself. So far, it's hard to say more specifically. We are focused on creating an original universe with original characters, so we decided to rework everything. By the way, it will be a 2.5D RPG inspired by "Warframe" but with elements of hentai
