I personally wouldn't recommend this. The story's pretty decent for what it is, but the fact that it's abandoned/incomplete is a major buzzkill. This is the equivalent of a one-shot Manga. If you are satisfied with a small, easy-to-consume story that won't go any further, then you might like it, but it might not grant a sense of fulfillment like RandalTales.

The game is complete, yet underdeveloped. Whether or not the visuals and script take a noticeable decline after it was abandoned is important, but still doesn't change the fact that it has a written ending, making it "feature-complete."
My comment on it being like a one-shot wasn't supposed to be about how it was underdeveloped, but rather that the actual story follows the traditional format of a one-shot (which most likely wasn't planned).
I wouldn't say that it is a bad story or game. Making a general statement like that would be unfair to both the game and to people with differing opinions. My criticism was just that from the story alone, not the incomplete visuals or missing gameplay, I felt a bit unsatisfied and would recommend that other people try finding something different unless they do like that specific format
Incomplete visuals/art ≠ an incomplete story or game. It is feature-complete. Could it have been improved if they were able to add everything else they planned? Yes, but they can't anymore.
It's a buzzkill, sure, but it's still a game which I played and gave an honest review of. It's not bad, probably not for everybody, but it has good qualities.
