thanks for the honest feedback man, you were totally right on all of that! I'm still learning how itch works and intentionally submitted my utility tool as a playable game entry instead of just posting in the jam forum lol. lesson learned! I just want to advertise to gain only views for confidence
for your Dualspace asset pack, your sprites and animations actually look really clean! but looking at your page, I noticed a huge reason why devs might be skipping the buy button: check your license setting on the right sidebar. You currently have it set to Creative Commons NoDerivatives (CC BY-ND 4.0).
In game dev, "NoDerivatives" legally means buyers aren't allowed to edit, slice, tint, or modify the sprite sheets to fit their game. Even though your text description says people can modify them, seeing that ND license tag on the sidebar scares indie devs away because they don't want copyright issues if they tweak a sprite in Godot or Unity.
If you go into your dashboard and change that metadata license to standard CC BY 4.0 or CC0, I think you'll see way more conversions! Also maybe broaden your tags/description beyond just day/night puzzle games so standard 2D platformer and metroidvania devs know they can use your slimes and hazards too.
appreciate you looking out for my page, hope that license tip helps get you some sales! 🙌
