hi there ‘crapcreator

sorry for the late reply

first of all, calling it low effort is not really true. the game is already optimized as much as I was realistically gonna optimize it. its built in unreal engine, and im not interested in hearing the usual “you should have modified the engine” stuff. this was a school project made by 3 randomly selected students. i was learning unreal c++ while making it. my goal was improving my skills, not shipping some AAA title

about the crash, yh, i know about it. i already know whats causing it. i just have no reason to spend more time fixing it because the project is dead. it was made for school and im not planning to keep working on it. ive got way more important stuff going on than maintaining an old student project. + im making money from my side projects, why would i waste my time on something thats free?

the “most of the budget went into menu animations” part is just funny. there was no budget. zero money spent. the full source code is on github if you wanna look through it. the menu animations took maybe 10-20 minutes. the game has around 3000 lines of c++ and most of my time went into the gameplay systems and anticheat. everything was made by us. no asset flip, no marketplace gameplay packs

you also questioned why it was written in c++. because unreal uses c++. i wanted to learn it because companies dont want blueprint npcs from our school ♥️. thats the reason

about the powerups not spawning, i have no idea how you managed that because ive never seen that happen during development and testing. if you actually found a bug then cool, but without logs or any useful info there is nothing i can do with “it broke” statement

and comparing it to the original bomberman nes… yh, no shit. the original was made by experienced developers with way more time, people and experience than our whole team combined. i never claimed this remake was gonna beat it

youre free to dislike the game. thats your opinion. but calling it low effort is just making stuff up. i put a lot of work into it, especially considering i was a 16 year old student teaching myself Unreal C++ while building it

have a good one lad
