good afternoon fellow overseers, as well as the few replikas I've given direct access to the after action reports, welcome in for
SESSION 24!
the party started in the piano room, having some idle chats, and deciding to go over to the next floor down, that being floor B8. the observant among you who've played the game recently or simply remember the game in any decent detail, you might remember that one important thing on this floor is the mineshaft access lift. we're getting to the part where I can drop part of the façade soon :]
anyway, combat happened directly as they got to the North hallway, as per usual, also featuring the combat use of bioressonance for the first time[thanks bird], as well as the first use of the "fight back" action[Thank you Fox] before it ended. also two separate weapon malfunctions. how it is physically possible to make a mining laser jam is beyond me but it's Not my fault Pixie rolled a -1 in combat. Anyway, while deciding where to go next, our players left for a unmarked door to their right, ending up....
outside the facility? if we're being specific, space-elevator site Kappa, where Fox and Bird were stationed prior to ending up down here, Bird manages to find a flak vest [takes away a point from speed, adds it to total stat.] as well as a satellite phone on the bed of a formerly National K.L.B.R unit converted to work for the empire.
first call: Staff sergeant B. Miller. in charge of Delta company, which Fox and Bird were stationed with prior to the start of the campaign, who they called while it was 3:12 AM for her. she was tired, confused and clearly unenthused by the fact that two people she had marked as being very dead were actually trapped in some nightmare dimension since for her it had been over 5 months, they already had replacements for Fox and Bird, all of this just sounds like extra paperwork to her. also she might have been the overseer this whole time. who knows. Me. I know. and I'm not telling.
second call: brigadier general [REDACTED] von degurechaff, a old man in charge of the Empire's operations on Europa, only supposed to be called when absolutely, POSITIVLEY necessary. this circumstance defo fits that criteria, and as such, Bird calls him, finding that apparently he was just about to order a larger expedition team down into a similar unknown facility[hmm] before he was called. Bird tries to transmit her current coordinates to him only for them to be garbage data, first scanning towards the depths of empty space, then to right next to him, etc. the line goes slack as he gets pulled away by someone bursting into the room in a panic. it is then surmised that this is some kind of time loop.
after all that, they abandon the phone, Bird takes more dice out of her footlocker next to her bed, and right as the gang is about to leave they spot someone, a soldier wearing a suit of outdated orbital trooper gear with purple accents watching them from a far, one that the mention of gave Fox's player a mild jumpscare because
a.] that's just boldfaced one of my ocs. like literally, it was one of my halo ocs.
b.] THAT'S MINNESOTA. THAT'S LITERALLY THE OIC THAT GOT ME TO MEET FOX'S PLAYER.
Anyway, that's where we ended the session this week, overall fun I believe, see you all next week!
Möge das wachsame Auge der großen Revolutionäre euch Sicherheit bringen.
