you can buy 'area' class units to expand your territory, look out for maroon/pink themed units like commander, scout, and general, as they all expands your territory
right now troop direction doesn't matter, so you absolutely can make 2 units facing eachother ahaha :D
yes, you can merge 2 identical units to get 1 stronger version of merged unit
