You have to delete the old app, then install the update. Don't worry about your progress, it lets you choose where to start from
Okay so dummy me never thought of the possibility i could have a clone of the old version saved in the deepest parts of my phone in the case i deleted the app accidentaly and i didnt wanted to download the file again, turns out it was because of that clone the system didnt let me install the new update
