Regarding new animations, it can be done and requires little code changes.
But, like the requests for the running, jumping and sitting, I never did it because most of the clothing doesn't have those animation frames, so, by implementing those animations, with most of the clothing, the characters would be naked when doing those actions.
I wish we had all the clothing (or most of it) with those cool animations available, but right now we haven't.
I know this is not the answer you wanted, and I'm sorry for that.
