I truly cannot overstate how much I loved this book. The setup, the character viewpoints, the oh-so-believably awkward interactions of two people who have no idea how to behave around each other but even less idea how to deal with everything else.
The prose style is quite interesting, as well. A sort of fable-style storytelling, reminiscent of Douglas Adams with short asides from the scenes to describe things in broad images, florid metaphor, and clever wordplay.
The description of someone's style of speech being "the verbal equivalent of trying to assemble a puzzle on a rocking ship while someone throws kittens at you" is going to be indelibly imprinted on my brain forever now.
TL:DR, it's wonderful, buy it.
