Unfortunately, VX Ace doesn't have a native global in-game menu like MV or MZ, so achieving your suggestions might be tricky.
If I keep using this engine, I would need to implement some external plugins to achieve that.
I'm considering switching to MZ after the release of my next two games, though, so this issue might get resolved in the future.
