I will be honest, I'm pretty hyped about the game. The main story is cool, the characters are really deep and intresting, I can see the effort put on the emotions. Also I can guess we just scratched the surface of a much deeper lore. Everything needed for a good immersive story.

However, I have ONE major complain, and it's only about the demo. I really wished we could play a little of the second loop in it, just to have a gist of how the game will exploit all the great mecanics that comes with the timeloop.

Right now, with only the first loop to play, we miss all the Re:Zero potential, and since it looks like the main point of the game, I don't think you should cut it from the demo.

I think expanding it just until the secound time at the first banquet included is a great compromise. It's not too far in the loop and it is enough to present the following potential mecanics:

  • skills: I chose the first banquet because giving us a chance for a revanche on this envent will show us how usefull skills will be and make us wonder what other skill we can collect through the game.
  • predictions: showing us how knowledge about the future will help Celeste advance the story will make us more invested in the deeper lore of the story and tell us their is much to discover.
  • characters: If you let us meet a late character (like Patrice) or devlopp another one (like father), we could see how the time loop plays on the characters' devloppment and make us wish to know more.
  • Love interests: I don't know if you plan to reset love points at each loop but if not, it could be good to show how it affect the new loop.

You could always finish the demo on a cliffhanger (I would even recommend it), and I don't think it would reveal to much of the game (it's still a demo after all)

I'm already intrigued by the game, but to have me really intrested, I really need to see how you plan to use the time loop in the game.

Show me that and you can count me in.
