The "UNC" thing is funny because I got my first 'real' teaching job earlier this year and most of my students call me "Uncle" as the default title instead of Teacher lol.
And 30 isn't old, I think what actually makes people feel old is more of a personality thing. The nicest people I've known, even well into their 50s, still feel fresh to me. But the ones who treat everything like a personal offense and take their frustrations out on the world around them? Those people feel ancient no matter how young they are on paper.
For example, I know another game dev in his 50s and he's legit one of the coolest people I know, he's fun, nice and honestly a joy to chat with.
He's only like 6 years younger than my dad but he actually feels like a warm human I would want to get a warm parental hug (with head pats lol) from instead of the wrathful, ancient evil, leviathan cosmic horror entities wearing human skins his age I have had to survive around for most of my life 😅
