Really enjoyed this build. The game feels smoother, looks much better, and overall seems far more polished than previous versions. The story is one of the strongest parts for me because it feels mysterious and interesting, and it genuinely makes me want to know what happens next. The world also feels rich and rewarding to explore, with strong visual variety and detailed environments.
Performance on my PC with a Ryzen 5 5500, RX 6600, and 16GB RAM was mostly solid. I had some lag at the start, but it fixed itself quickly and the game ran smoothly after that. I also tested a PS4 controller, and it worked perfectly, which is a great option for players who prefer controllers. The main performance issue I noticed was around checkpoints, where autosaving caused noticeable FPS drops, especially when passing through the same checkpoint multiple times.
Combat feels faster and smoother than before. Movement is responsive, and the axe, spear, pistol, and magic all feel good to use. Combat is currently on the easier side since it is easy to get behind most enemies, though bigger enemies felt much more threatening and fun to fight. I like the class and upgrade systems, and stat upgrades feel rewarding, although some may be slightly too strong right now.
The audio is excellent. Sound effects feel polished, and the music fits the atmosphere perfectly without overpowering the gameplay.
I encountered a few bugs during testing. One troll was stuck levitating in a T-pose and could not die.
Overall, this is a strong step forward. With some optimization and bug fixes, the game has serious potential.
