Looking at it objectively, VNs take a lot of additional time for 3D models. Posing, lighting, animating and especially rendering.
I can see it easily reaching a point where it’s just too much of a time-sink.
Subjectively, though, switching to a book is taking away from what made the experience what it was.
And not finishing what was started is not a good way to build a fan base or reputation.
let alone a PORN AVN being turned into a SFW book to finish the story seems to be the biggest slap to the face of everyone that's followed the game since the beginning, sure when PrometheusEVN made the announcement for the book it seemed like the general reception was 75% okay with the SFW tone shift and 25% against the SFW tone shift. (might be wrong on the percentage but who cares.)
