In lutris you can use your systems wine, but you can also use a lot of variations of proton (wine but with some additions by valve) and wine-ge that I guess is similar to proton-ge.
Also lutris can also solve dependencies of some packages without installing them system wide I found out recently. (Just like steam often has its own pool of packages for games.)
Lutris also does other stuff with dvxk or whatever and vulkan stuff idk i saw options for that there.
