I really love the idea of this jam and I'd like to participate but 2 days isn't much time, especially mid-week. Is there a minimum play time required? I know I definitely can't get much done in that amount of time.

The whole point of this jam is to make something small, weird, experimental, or unfinished-but-fun. A 2–5 minute game is totally fine if it fits the theme and feels complete enough to play.
Since the jam is short, I’d recommend focusing on one strong idea or one funny mechanic instead of trying to make something big.
