Rule one of 30 dynasties in the Holy Roman Empire, starting in the year 1001. Marry to secure heirs, build up your lands, trade, wage war, send out spies — and scheme your way to becoming Emperor.
It's a German game at heart, but it now travels well: menu buttons carry a small English translation, event messages get a short English summary in brackets, and pressing F1 opens a Wiki with an "English" tab that gives you the full intro/tutorial and all help articles in English.
