Was deep in testing a huge batch of skill-system changes when I stumbled onto an enchanted creature completely by accident.
I know full well it's just my local test server, and I can't catch it — no shards on me — and honestly I probably couldn't even if I had them, since I'm nowhere near strong enough. But still: my first real encounter, at absurdly low odds. Hard not to grin.
For anyone unfamiliar with how these things work: they emerge into the world out of tumors, but only after devouring the entire contents of one on their own. That ability stays with them afterward — you can feed them fragmented monolithic beings and they'll absorb their skills, potential, and power. This one would make a fantastic leader for a locust swarm guarding the beacon bridge.
