Yo bro! Thanks a lot for the comment and for checking out the new update. I really appreciate the feedback!

Thanks for the heads-up about the park scene with the FeMC. I’ll look into the code right away and fix that image bug in the next patch. As for the space ship minigame, it's currently just a rough prototype/test version to see how it feels, but I'm definitely going to polish the controls and fix that oversized donation window in the future.

Your ideas for the monthly bills and random household events are awesome! I'd love to hear more about them. If you have more specific ideas on how they should work, please let me know. For example, what exact random events should happen, what choices should the player have when something breaks, and how should it affect the stats or the story afterward?

Your input would help a lot. Thanks again and keep it real! 🚀

Glad I could help with the feedback. That's awesome you're open to these ideas! Here’s a bit more on how those household events and mechanics could work:

1. The 'Repair System' (Risk vs. Reward):

When something breaks (power, water, internet), the player should have two choices:

  • The 'Safe' Path: Elina calls a technician. It’s guaranteed to work, but it costs money and consumes the whole day (you lose your time for that day).
  • The 'Skill' Path: Aiden can try to fix it himself, but he loses a daylight phase searching a room. Adding more rooms would increase the difficulty; a search stat would improve the chances of finding the fault.
Furthermore, he would still have to attempt to repair it, whether it's electricity, water, or internet. Each of these would have its own skill stat, which improves by reading books or trying to fix things.

2. Consequences & Interdependency: The house status should directly affect gameplay:

  • No Power: No PC (no streaming) and no TV.
  • No Water: They can't shower, which tanks their mood/energy and makes them refuse to interact. Maybe even a penalty at Aiden’s job for showing up unkempt! (You could reduce the time or pay that Aiden receives in the work minigame)
  • No Internet: Elina can’t stream, and they can’t buy stuff online.

Obviously, if you don't pay those bills, they'll end up cutting off those services.

3. Character Stats & Progression:

Here we can see the characters' stats, their opinions of each other, and with these values we could trigger events. For example, if Elina has a good opinion of Aiden, she could give him gifts or favors.

We can also see Aiden's search and repair stats.

4. The 'Lottery' Mechanic: This would be a fun RNG element!

  • Aiden can buy a ticket at the supermarket. The draw happens on TV at night.
  • If the power goes out, I'll have to fix it before nightfall or call a technician, and Aiden will check if he automatically wins, but he'll still lose the day, but it's unlikely he'll win the lottery.
  • Fortune/Luck: If he watches the morning news/horoscope on TV, it could give him a buff/debuff to his winning odds (e.g., +10% or -15% luck).

Anyway, just throwing some ideas out there! Hope this helps you flesh out the system. Stoked to see how this turns out in the next patch!
