Whatever stock characters you speak of dont have animatable genitals, bones or blendshapes that allow the animations that are required for these games, facial expressions and so on, customizing their clothes and looks would be more costly limited and difficult and the tools would be very slow to work with and all so you can get an unrealistically smooth plastic looking face. Thats why I avoid it.
