As for your questions:
1.- You could say that they are part of Noah (Strangelove herself confirms this in the ending).
2.- Everything related to Noah and the cats stems from trauma caused by something that happened between it and Precious. I prefer to leave it somewhat ambiguous, although I might explain it in the future… maybe… in another game. After all, Noah’s story isn’t over yet.
3.- You can come up with a theory about why Noah is in the locker if you take into account the dialogue from the intro (the parts with insults and punches).
