Hello! I am having trouble with Dara's route. I hit a part in Chapter 9, and our relationship is unsteady. Is it because I chose to look at the crime scene instead of looking away? I made sure to show my interest and to choose him to rescue me both from my nightmare and the assassin. I prioritized the public at every chance and dismissed the office of law immediately. Is it because I said I didn't have a reason to distrust Kham? I am really frustrated because everything seemed to be going well, and then this. I would rather go back and fix things now as opposed to trying to course correct after chapter 9.
Hey, as far as I am aware, the steady/unsteady relationship status has nothing to do with your political decisions or the ones focusing on your MC. It fully depends on the answers you choose in the one-on-one conversations.Here is a little guide based on my steady Dara playthrough starting after chapter 5 :
SPOILERS
When Dara asks if they trust Kham: Choose as you see fit This answer does not affect your relationship status.
Regarding Nima :Ask him why he hasn't visited Nima yet. Depending on your MC's traits, the flavor text maybe different.Regardless, the scoring answer remains the first one.
After Kham leaves you with Dara alone : Allow the bowing, and ask about the conversation.
For the next choice : It's not your fault.
Dara has a point there ..... : Wish him safe travels.

What @Deammerung said in their comment is correct (and I would recommend following their guide), your political choices at this stage have no significant effect on your romantic relationship. If you're getting an unsteady romance with D, it's because the choices you made in interactions with D are incompatible with their preferences. Hope that clears it up!
