I have run into another bug concerning the computer opponent's actions. The AI uncharacteristically moved the cursor holding the pawn over a square out of its movable range that was also already occupied by one of the AI's own pieces. Then the game was softlocked in the AI's thinking pattern, with the "processing" icon still spinning. I fast-forwarded a few minutes beyond that point, but it remained stuck in a thinking/processing loop. I made a video showing the game up to the point where it softlocked; hopefully it will help you identify and fix the issue. (The video plays at 2x speed.) I used the Mesen emulator.
