In regards to the next update: the reason it is taking so long is because WW is also working on the next few updates as well. The plan is to have the next update out by the end of July at the latest, then the next few updates will come out roughly one month apart, then we'll have another wait for v1.0 to rework the early game, at which point the game will prepared for a Steam release.
