It's priced $10 partially because if you buy now you will get to keep the game as is receives updates until its eventual full release. The game does have depth to its gameplay of course, but also it will be improved over time.
Also $10 is still pretty cheap for a game imo. I would say that's how much I spend on my lunch break at work, but I actually got fired today so not anymore lol
