Hey all,
Quick but important update. Harem of Valerius is launching as paid Early Access on Friday, August 14. itch.io first, Steam Early Access later this year.
What's in the EA build
Episodes 1–4 fully playable. Episode 4 is the Egypt arc — Shael's rescue, new traps and parkour, a new boss. The build also adds:
- The new Army mechanic — similar shape to Fleet, different theme and rewards
- An Egypt-themed brothel with new NPCs and environment
- Frozen Rage — Ladeina's time-slowing ability, used in combat and to navigate Egyptian traps
- Everything already in the current demo, plus all of the above
Price: $7.99 minimum / $12.99 suggested — early supporter pricing. The price goes up after the next major content drop.
About the demo — please read this
I'm tightening the free demo before launch. The new demo will end after Kallista's romance scene in the city — about 40–50 minutes of play, two adult scenes (Ladeina's ritual and Kallista's visit). Naxara, Episode 3, and everything beyond will only be in the paid Early Access build from now on.
If you've already downloaded the older demo, that copy stays with you — itch doesn't pull files from devices. New players coming in after the cut will see the shorter version. I'm telling you upfront so it doesn't feel like a sneaky change later.
The honest reason: the current demo shows too much of what the paid Early Access offers. The demo should give you a real taste of the loop and let you decide — not be most of the game.
Patreon $5+ supporters will receive a free itch EA key at launch. You backed this when there wasn't much to back, and that counts. After launch, Patreon will shift toward Episode 5 development sneak peeks. A separate post on that is coming soon.
What to expect from here
Weekly progress updates between now and August 14 — screenshots, GIFs, and notes from the in-progress work. If you've enjoyed the demo and haven't wishlisted on Steam yet, that's the single most useful thing you can do right now.
Thanks for sticking with this. Comments are open below.
