Yea I definitely missed the box, while i like the buff and the badge rn i'd much prefer the variety and strategy of different box size and perk, i think the lock picking mechanic is nice but it happend wayy too much so the game just get easier, I think if you keep the lock picking but use the old system where the box was put at the end of the level instead of in the middle it would be a nice middle ground of fun and hard, also force the player to pick the box at the beginning of the round is wayy better on the strategy side of thing, cause i've found myself just mindlessly picking and rerolled dice instead of think which box i should level up first like the older version
Overall, I love some new stuff that you add, like the quality of life thing, more quest, the lock picking system, but I think you also remove a lot of the stuff that make the game strategically in the first place, but if you can mix those 2 together, I genuinely think it would turn out to be a great game
