Also MC slowly letting themself sink into the whole situation - distancing themselves from people, others noticing the smell possibly symbolizing how MC can't take proper care of themselves since they're too deep in grief to care, everything tasting weird but tolerable due to lack of appetite, which often comes when we're extremely sad, just so many things make it seem like it, and even if it wasn't thought about and is "on accident", I still think it's really cool :3
