this is definitely a remake. The setting is notably different with magical shit being less hidden than before and numerous character redesigns, Emma in particular is basically in a completely new role.
related note. I LOVE THE REDESIGNS.
Everyone looks more colorful and less like a generic "30 minutes in Koikatsu" waifu for it. Much more effort put into the designs than before.
I was not a fan of the last UI update from the old version, this one is significantly better, but still has room to improve.
