If I had to guess, I’d bet they’ll train an AI on the forum chats in preparation for the next version of RPG Maker, which will feature an AI assistant.
There IS some AI nonsense built into the new forum they're trying to steer everyone toward, but I think it's just out of sheer laziness/lack of caring: ie, the platform just came with it and they didn't care.
