As I say on our website:

I personally grew up on gaming magazines — Hyper, EGM, Megazone, Mean Machines, Sega Saturn Magazine, that tone and attitude of people writing about things they genuinely loved. I wanted that again. And TKFY wanted to make something that was a first step toward a future where those kinds of books existed again with that same kind of spirit those tomes of greatness contained.
... And so we made it.
This is issue zero 'digital' which shipped physically and digitally late in 2025, It's in print, available, and continues to sell every month. If you love what we've made, consider getting the best version: physical!
But, we made a commitment early that we'd always find a way to make Adventure Calls magazine free forever. Today we made good on that intent and that commitment here on itch. Every issue moving forward will be available for free here and on archive.org (when they eventually let me upload it... I keep getting errors 😮💨 I should be working on LOVE X LOVE right now).
We're currently working on issue one which should ship before Christmas.
More than anything we want to make the next issue the best version of itself that it can be. If you have ideas, let me know.
