Sadly no. It has happened to me so I just used it to explore more and just get better stats. It kinda sucks but there isn't anything you can do. 

If you right click on the skip button, you can skip to the next choice you have to make directly, or the next unseen text you have, unless you also have that set to skip in preferences.

Wanna reply to ThatGuyJulian but itch io literally won't let me, or maybe it's cloudflare, I dunno.
